And they’re good!  Made with good things!  Organic sprouted spelt flour, organic spelt sourdough starter, filtered water, butter, sea salt and extra virgin olive oil on top!  No funny ingredients that cannot be pronounced.

Just pure wholesome goodness.

 Why SPELT? And why SPROUTED?   We’re glad you asked.

Spelt is an ancient grain which dates as far back as 9,000 years. It is considered wheat’s distant cousin but it offers a more varied spectrum of nutrients. Many people with wheat sensitivitiescan consume spelt.

Before industrialized agriculture, grains sprouted in the fields  while awaiting harvest. This made them naturally more nutritious and digestible. Sprouting breaks down starches, increases  vitamin content and neutralizes enzyme inhibitors making enzymes more available. It also neutralizes phytic acid, a substance that inhibits absorption of calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc. Sourdough  is a natural leavening which also neutralizes phytic acid.

All in all, it makes for a tasty, nutritious cracker that can be enjoyed by itself or with anything you can imagine.
